Pharmacology for Massage Therapy

Course description:

This course is geared towards those who are interested in getting their national certification and any massage therapist who works with clients who take prescription drugs. Students will learn how to assess and understand various prescriptive drugs, their effects on the body and the associated implications for massage. Students will learn deductive reasoning process for developing safe and individualized massage therapy protocols for clients receiving drug therapy.
