Pregnancy/Infant MassageInstructor: K. John McEnany, H.H.P16 Hours
Course
Description: This course covers the
trimesters of pregnancy including physiological changes and the
contraindications for massage during each stage of pregnancy. A full-body
routine will be taught with modifications for each stage of pregnancy
including the use of bolsters, creams, and the side-lying protocol. This
course will also cover postpartum techniques and a massage routine for
infants. In order to receive certification, students **must pass a written
test** and know how to perform a full-body massage on a pregnant woman. Students are requested
to encourage friends and family members that are pregnant to contact K. John
McEnany HHP to receive massage during the class. Also, during the time of Infant Massage, infants are also
welcomed (dolls or stuffed animals will be used as well). Prerequisite: CMT 150 or approval by instructor Required
Materials: Handout $10 from
instructor in class Set of twin sheets 3 pillows or preferably
a Body Pillow 1 blanket Baby doll or stuffed
animal Massage cream (no Biotone
Dual Purpose Cream) Note:
Please bring any cream or lotion other than Biotone Dual Purpose
Cream. John is allergic to this
cream and will not be able to work on anyone’s body which has this cream on
